Dental Access Days Clinic Delivers $1 Million in Free Care

Thirteen hours before the Florence Civic Center opened its doors for the 2016 Dental Access Days (DAD) clinic, the first gentleman in need of dental care set up a cot beside his oxygen tank to reserve his place in line. Although the event didn't begin until 6 a.m. the following day, he had been advised to expect long wait lines and was prepared to spend the night.

By 5 a.m. on August 26, more than 300 people patiently waited in line for treatment — and many for relief from their tooth pain.
